              Last Will and Testament of Richard Lamb, Randolph Co., NC (top torn off) I Richard lamb do this 27 day of March in the year of our Lord on thousand eight hundred & forty four make & publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say First I give & bequest to my son Joe Lamb the plantation where I now live on my two horse wagon and gears my gray horses & my bay mare one new saddle & bridle one axe & mattock one hoe one pot one oven one feather bed & bedsteads & furniture on milch cow four hogs his choices one horse plough & one horse plough one half of the cupboard ware. Secondly I give & bequeath to my daughter Jane Lamb one beaurow that she now claims one feather bed & bedsteads & furniture one new spinning wheel one cotton wheel one loom & all the apperatuses belong to it. My daughter Jane is to have a home & living on my plantation so long as she lives single & conducts herself in a proper manner. If she should do otherwise then she is to be deprived of having a support off my plantation. I give Jane three chairs & I give Low three chairs. Thirdly I give & bequeath to my son Winright Lamb the plantation he now lives on beginning at Sarah Crawfords corner (torn) adjoining Allen Lamb...belonging to my grandson Emsze (?) Trogdan. 4th I give my daughter Francis Lamb one half of my cupboard ware one oven & (?) I give Low Lamb 1 water bucket 1 tin bucket. I give Jane Lamb i new washing tub..I claim after the above named property is delivered to the above named children after my just debts & funeral expenses is paid all the rest of my property to be sold and all my cash & cash notes to be equally divided between Francis Lamb, Hiram Lamb, Anderson Lamb, & Uriah Lamb. I give to my son Low Lamb all my potracks, 2 fine dogs 1 black walnut table. I give Jane 1 black nut table.

              I consitute and appoint my Trusty Friend & son Anderson Lamb to be my Executor to this my Last Will & Testament in testimony whereunto I have set my hand & affixed my seal the day & date above written in the presence of us. Witnesses J. Branson, Caleb Lamb, (signed) Richard (X) Lamb
